Come Join us for a day of stories by renowned children's authors and storytellers Alastair Heim, Priscilla Howe, Daniel Miyares, and Mr. Stinky Feet!

Meet the Authors
Alastair Heim is the author of the picture books LOVE YOU TOO, NO TOOTING AT TEA, THE GREAT PUPPY INVASION, HELLO DOOR, QUIET DOWN LOUD TOWN, IF I HAD YOUR VOTE-BY THE CAT IN THE HAT, and IF I RAN YOUR SCHOOL-BY THE CAT IN THE HAT for Dr. Seuss Beginner Books. He lives in Kansas City and is represented by Kelly Sonnack of the Andrea Brown Literary Agency.
"I live in Kansas City with my awesomely, awesome family who inspires me everyday. Laughter is my favorite sound, purple is my favorite color, and other-people-cooking-for-me is my favorite food. I am a huge fan of music and have been known to play the guitar with impeccable mediocrity."
Meet the Storytellers
I live in my head. I make stuff up, I borrow from old tales, I reinterpret new stories. As a storyteller, I’m a tour guide to that space in my brain. I work without a script, without costumes, without props. When I’m doing it right, listeners laugh, smile, sigh and breathe together, connected in the space of stories. I perform at schools, libraries, festivals, special events, and in my own backyard, literally. My mouthy hand puppets come along to shows for young children. I tell more sophisticated stories to grownups and older kids. We play together.
Apart from being the oldest educational method in the world, storytelling is just plain fun.
Jim Cosgrove has been rockin’ families for a quarter century! In 2023 he celebrates the 25th anniversary of the release of his first album, Bop Bop Dinosaur. Affectionately nicknamed “Mr. Stinky Feet” by his young fans following the release of his 1999 hit song Stinky Feet, Jim is a cool favorite on the concert tour circuit. He has performed more than 4,500 high-energy, interactive shows throughout North America and Europe, including two performances at The White House Easter Egg Roll.
Meet the Illustrator
Daniel Miyares is a critically acclaimed picture book author and illustrator. Some of his books include: Float, Night Out, That is My Dream, and Bring Me A Rock!. Daniel has been called “…a master of visual storytelling.”- Jody Hewston, Kinderlit, and “…enchanting, versatile” – The New York Times. He believes that our stories have the power to connect us all. Daniel’s story currently takes place in Lenexa, KS with his wife, their two wonderful children, and a dog named Violet that gives them all a run for their money.
